Painting Inside Doors White

Painting inside doors white. Brush on a light coat. It doesnt matter that the rest of the doors throughout your house are white. If not either use a mini painting pad that enables you to paint the bottom edge or remove the door from its hinges apply a sealer to the bottom edge and rehang the door to paint the rest of it. If its latex you can skip the following sanding and priming steps though youll have to sand and prime if the paint is oil based.
When painting edges some paint inevitably slops onto the faces of the door. Choose an interior door paint color. You want to make sure you leave no roller lap marks. Its better to have that happen before the faces are painted.
White doors and black trim for creating graphic look in your monochromatic space. To remove any lap marks roll a lightly loaded roller over the wet coat of paint to smooth. Paint all four edges of the door first. Begin by applying paint to the inside of the top panels.

If the door has a vertical center stile paint this next and then blend in the brush marks from the center stile when you paint the horizontal rails. But interior doors are often paneled and should be painted in the following order. Smooth out the paint working with the grain. A heavy coat of paint covers better and sometimes levels out better but runs are more likely and brush marks are deeper.
